Self-aligning roller bearing or spherical roller bearing, the rollaway of outside race is in shape of sphere. It has self aligning and it can make up for the error which from different angles. But its opposite gradient between outside and inside race is less than 3 degrees. The structure principle and the character of the bearing are the same with self aligning ball bearing. Under the condition of permissible volume of load and permissible speed of rotation, they can interchange.
Self-aligning roller bearing has a high load carrying capacity for radial load and axle load in two directions. It especially suitable for carrying heavy loads and impact loads but this type of bearing permits a lower limiting speed.
